Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
Account details (name, work email, phone), company details for business accounts (registered office address, registration number, company type), and operational data you generate while using the console — parcels, deliveries, wallet transactions, and support messages.
2. Location and tracking data
Driver mobile apps report GPS location while a delivery is active, so shippers and recipients can see live tracking. Location pings are retained for 90 days for dispute resolution and analytics, then automatically purged.
3. How we use data
To operate the service (routing, dispatch, tracking pages), process payments and payouts, send transactional notifications, improve reliability, and comply with legal or tax obligations.
4. Sharing
We share data with payment processors (Paystack, Stripe) to complete transactions, and with SMS/email providers to deliver notifications. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is role-scoped and audit-logged. Passwords are hashed; we never store payment card numbers.
6. Data retention
Account and transaction records are retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet accounting and legal obligations. GPS traces are purged after 90 days.
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion of your account, subject to records we're legally required to keep. Contact privacy@parcelio.io to exercise these rights.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and limited analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be announced in the console or by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
